Klopp holds contract talks Dortmund boss in negotiations regarding possible two-year extension

Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp is in negotiations with the club regarding a possible two-year contract extension.

The Signal Iduna Park boss' current deal expires in June 2010, but Dortmund are keen to retain his services and further discussions are scheduled for later in March.

Klopp took up the ninth-placed Bundesliga outfit's vacant seat before the start of the season and he has since impressed the club's hierarchy, who are understood to want to secure his stay until 2012.

Dortmund executive director Hans Joachim Watzke told Kicker: "We have been talking about this (Klopp's contract) already.

"There will be another round of talks this month and then we will hopefully find an agreement."

Asked about the length of any new contract, Watzke added: "This is not important at all, there are some likely possibilities."
