Bundesliga round-up Stalemates the order of the day in Germany

Sunday's action in the Bundesliga failed to provide too many thrills as Bayer Leverkusen drew with Bochum and Arminia Bielefeld played out a goalless stalemate with Frankfurt.

Bochum's bid to ease their relegation worries received a shot in the arm just past the half hour mark when Christoph Dabrowski headed in Christian Fuchs' pinpoint delivery.

The game hinged though on the award of a 65th penalty for Leverkusen, after Mergin Mavraj was adjudged to have handled in the area.

Mavraj was shown a second yellow card before Patrick Helmes showed composure from the spot to equalise.

The result leaves Bayer in seventh, while Bochum are 14th and just two points off the drop zone.

Arminia's hosting of Frankfurt saw both sides create numerous chances but a profligacy in front of goal culminated in a 0-0 stalemate.
