Megson ignores criticism Trotters chief calm over Coyle link

Bolton boss Gary Megson insists he is not bothered by criticism he gets from his own fans.

Megson has come under fire from some Bolton fans this season for his style of play and some indifferent results.

The Trotters chief says he is unfazed by the negative reaction towards him from some supporters and is only focused on getting results for the team.

"It doesn't bother me I couldn't care less," Megson told Sky Sports News about criticism from fans.

"I want to try and get results and if that pleases people great, if getting the same results doesn't please them there is nothing I can do about them so we will just keep ploughing on."
Calm
Megson also played down speculation linking Owen Coyle with a possible move to replace him at the Reebok Stadium helm.

"I don't read newspapers basically because of that [speculation]," added Megson.

"I am aware of it and the club have dealt with it and we will leave it with them.

"From a manager's point of view it is part of what goes on day-in, day-out."
