Klinsmann rejects City talk German happy at Bayern

Bayern Munich coach Jurgen Klinsmann has played down talk linking him with a move to Manchester City.

Reports emanating from Germany suggested cash-rich City were lining up a move for Klinsmann as a possible replacement for current incumbent Mark Hughes.

Hughes' future has been the subject of constant speculation with former Chelsea chief Luiz Felipe Scolari also linked with a switch to Eastlands.

Klinsman has come under fire in Germany in recent weeks after some indifferent results in Die Bundesliga.

However, the former Tottenham striker has shrugged off the speculation, saying he is concentrating on achieving success with Bayern.

"I always tell my players, like Franck Ribery, that if there is speculation about other clubs wanting you, it is a compliment to Bayern and yourself," Klinsmann is quoted as saying in the Daily Mail.

"If you hear of an offer, you must be flattered, and it applies to managers and coaches as much as players.

"But I am under contract to Bayern until the end of next season, and my only thought at the moment is trying to win as many trophies as possible in that time."
